Decree 43 applies to most appliances
Cookers, refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, fans, washing machines, water heaters, small kitchen appliances, vacuum cleaners, TVs, and more are on the Decree 43 list. They are released only from a GOEIC-registered factory or brand owner.

The energy-efficiency label
Ministerial Decree No. 912 of 2017 requires an energy-efficiency label on covered appliances — such as refrigerators, washing machines, and air conditioners — in the format set by the Egyptian standard. In March 2026 the authorities announced checks that importers attach the label before appliances enter the market. Plan for testing and the label with your supplier before production.
Confirm which of your products are covered, and the testing route, with GOEIC or your broker.
