Egyptian registration requirements
Before goods are shipped to Egypt, shipment data must be registered under the Advance Cargo Information (ACI) system on the NAFEZA platform, and an ACID number issued for most shipments. The ACID number must appear on the shipping documents. Commercial importers generally need to be registered in the Importers Register, and some products require the foreign manufacturer to be registered with GOEIC.
Requirements change over time. Confirm the current rules for your product before shipping.
Product-specific documents
- Conformity certificates for regulated products
- Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for chemicals
- Health or phytosanitary certificates for food and agricultural products
- Technical documentation for machinery and equipment
Consistency is everything
Product descriptions, quantities, weights, and values must match across the invoice, the packing list, and the bill of lading. Even small differences can cause delays at customs.
Pacific can review your documents before shipment and coordinate clearance and delivery within the agreed scope.
General guidance. Requirements vary by product, route, and date, so they are confirmed for each request.
