Dimensions and weight

Provide the length, width, height, and gross weight of each piece. These determine the container type, the loading method, and whether special equipment is required.

Number of pieces and packing

Is the machine shipped complete or dismantled? How many crates or packages are there? Packing should protect the equipment for the full route and transit time.

Loading and unloading conditions

Describe access at the supplier’s site and at your facility, including whether lifting equipment is available for unloading.

Documents and descriptions

Commercial invoices, packing lists, and technical specifications should describe the equipment consistently. Inconsistent descriptions are a common cause of delays.
